Weddings Are Still Very Popular

It seems to be a modern cliché that every woman dreams of having a huge, spectacular wedding with all the bells and whistles when they’re just little girls. While some women have never felt this way about weddings, it’s apparent that the majority of women out there who do plan on getting married want the biggest, most beautiful wedding that money can provide. It’s a very special time in a woman’s life – it marks the transition from being her father’s daughter to her significant other’s wife. Even though it’s a special time, a lot of hard work is involved in putting a wedding together.

In modern times, it’s no mystery that the divorce rate between married couples has been steadily increasing since around the time of the women’s liberation movement in the late 60s and early 70s. While this may be the case, studies show that marriages in themselves are about the same as they’ve always been. This shows that the idea of having a marriage, and thus a wedding, is still very popular in today’s world. With that said, actually planning a wedding can either be a dream come true, or in the same vain, a nightmare gone mad.
