Wedding Planning List

A wedding is one of the most important days of your life. And it’s understandable that you want it to proceed without a single hitch. Weddings are complicated events and require a lot of elaborate planning.

From the flowers, music, the groom’s tuxedo, the bride’s dress, guest lists, the priest, the venue, table arrangements, caterers: it’s endless! To make sure there are no goof-ups anywhere, make yourself a wedding planning list: a checklist that includes every detail.

Hiring a wedding planner is a good idea, if you can afford it. Most brides and grooms cannot, unfortunately. It’s best, in that case, to stick with a list. A wedding planning list allows you to plan your wedding just the way you want it. With ample time and help from friends who are experienced, you’re sure to pull off a successful wedding.

Defining your budget is that first, most important step. It’ll determine the rest of your planning. Based on the budget you’ve set for yourself, decide on the guest list. Don’t invite too many people you haven’t met in ages or won’t meet all that often in the future. Include all friends and family you would like at this auspicious event and keep it at that.

Setting up a menu that everyone agrees to is another important part of the wedding plan. Discuss it with your parents and to-be in-laws and everyone else involved. Ask caterers and restaurants to display the range of their services to you with the prices. This will help you compare and reach a final decision that everyone likes.

Attend a few ‘wedding shows’ to see how a wedding really works. Wedding dresses, flowers and flower arrangements, invitations and so on need to be decided upon and a wedding show will help you make the right choice. A good wedding planning list will incorporate all these details.

Start preparing well ahead of the final date: about six months or so, and you can rest assured that your wedding will go like clockwork, at an economical budget with no nasty surprises!
