Wedding Flowers
Next to the groom and her dress, the next most important thing to the bride is her wedding flowers. Nothing else signifies wedding quite as much as the flowers do.
As well as the standard bridal bouquet wedding flowers can be used for buttoniers, to decorate the church and so much more besides. You could actually use flowers as your theme for the wedding.
If money is not an issue for a wedding, then roses at the church, on the path from the church, on every table at the wedding reception and anywhere else that needs decorating would look fantastic, if a tad expensive.
If money is tight, then use the brides favorite flowers for the top tables and put some cheaper, but pretty flowers on all the other tables at the reception. Really the wedding flowers that you use on the tables should be quite small so there is plenty of room for dishes etc. You could put small bouquets into tiny vases, with maybe the central flower matching the brides favorite, to tie it all together.
If you use bouquets as table centerpieces then they can always be collected by the guests and taken home at the end of the celebrations, and dried. This can be a nice memento for the guests, or at least for some of them.
Another great way to use wedding flowers is to put one single flower by each guests place at the table, and if they want to, they can take their flower home with them.
Fresh flowers look beautiful at a wedding, but many people still prefer to use silk flowers, and in all honesty, if you go for top quality silk wedding flowers they will look just as good as the real thing. The one big advantage to silk flowers is of course that they last much longer.
Whatever wedding flowers you decide to have just keep the colors working together so that everything matches together with your wedding theme.
