Wedding Decorating On A Budget – Part 1

The types of wedding decorations you will choose will depend partly on the wedding theme you have decided to use, but whatever wedding decorations you decide on, you will be able to do your wedding decorating on a budgetThe basic wedding decorating would include balloons, flowers and of course the invitations, but there is so much more that is available when you are trying to decorate your wedding on a budget, it just means thinking outside the box a little.

Don’t only look for your wedding decorations in the traditional wedding stores, look further afield – this way not only will you be potentially saving lots of money, but your wedding decorations will be truly unique.  Keep a look out for clearance sales, or discount prices on the online wedding stores (try this one for great bargains). You could also keep your eyes open for end of season clear outs, as you will be sure to find some bargains there. If you are getting married in the winter you could try and stock up with decorations that are in the shops during the Christmas sales – this way you will save money.

Try to create your own wedding reception centerpieces by using a votice candle inside small lanterns. If the fire hazard side of this worries you, you can actually purchase battery operated candles which are just as beautiful as the real thing. The light given off by candles is not only flattering, but it also creates a great atmosphere, so will enhance your wedding reception. You could have one candle centerpiece per table, or you could go for a group of them together. If you use soft colors and metallics for your lanterns or votive holders they will be beautiful. What about placing them onto a runner made with metallic fabric? This will reflect the candlelight well, and look gorgeous.
