Garden Wedding Decorations

As the weather starts to get warmer, many couples begin to plan an outdoor wedding, and what better place than your own back yard?  If you decide to hold your wedding in your yard, then garden wedding decorations need to be considered, but they will certainly not need to be as formal as decorations that you may find with a traditional chapel wedding.

Although you may well hold your wedding ceremony in your back yard you will still be concerned with garden wedding decorations. The first thing that you need to do is to decide on your theme and color scheme. Weddings that are co-ordinated, even if they are in a back yard, should still look beautiful, and be arranged around one particular theme, or color scheme.

Take a look round the space you are going to use, what are the main colors already there? Are they many trees, bushes and grass, or do you see lots of flowers? You can make a wedding in your back yard into a magical wedding, with just a little thought and plannning.

You will still need extra flowers, so visit the florist in plenty of time and get your wedding arrangements ordered. In a backyard you cannot have too many flowers.

On the day before the wedding have someone you trust, or a professional company, come in and mow the lawn so that it will look at its best the next day. If you have any bad patches, then cover them a day or two before the wedding with bark and then put pretty pots of flowers on top, or if you have enough time you could plan a beautiful flowering bush – this will be a truly natural garden wedding decoration!

If you have a fence round your backyard, decorate it with ribbons and baloons that match your theme and color. Get some screens that you can place in front of anything you want to hide away on the great day. You could even rent some bushes or trees and wrap the pots they come in with pretty bows and foil.

A wedding company will deliver gazebos or arbors for the actual ceremony. These are best delivered a day or two before the wedding, and you can then decorate with ribbons and flowers. Chairs can be rented and decorated as well.

Put up some outside lighting in your yard, and hang bows, ribbons and baloons where you can. You will then have garden wedding decorations to be proud of.  More garden wedding decoration idea here
