Decorations for Weddings – What You Need To Think About

Weddings are always such festive events.  It can be hard choosing decorations for weddings though.  You can either buy them yourself, rent them or borrow them.  The important thing though is that you know what you’re going for.  You can go for elegant, simple, expensive, or even grandiose.  You need to know your colors and your theme.  Once you have all this then your ready to come up with your decorations.Here are some elements used in decorations for weddings that you should look into:

Lighting – You want to be sure the whole room is properly lit.  You don’t want the lights to be too high or low.  To much and you could ruin your pictures and it can take away from the dreamy atmosphere you are trying to create.  You also don’t want the lighting too low as this will create poorly lit photographs and blurry pictures.  It has to be just right so the mood will be romantic.  Lights are important decorations for weddings!

Ribbons and Fabric – This is going to add some great romantic and dreamy feel to your wedding.  Ribbons are colorful and silky strands that add texture and color to the physical setting.  Fabrics are used as decorations for weddings and are usually much larger then ribbons.  You can find some great silky and light fabrics that will add the appearance of elegance and romance.

Fruits – Yes, that’s right!  Fruits are also used as decorations for weddings.  They are fragrant and colorful like: grapes, pears, oranges, cherries, bananas and apples.  They can be added to your flowers to give a wonderful refreshing look.  These are great for spring and summer weddings where you want vibrant colors.

Fixtures – If you have a higher budget and can afford it then having fixtures are wonderful decorations for weddings.  They can be ice sculptures, champagne towers made of champagne glasses, and chocolate fountains.

Designing your own wedding and reception just the way you want it is always fun.  All you need is your imagination and creativity when coming up with decorations for weddings.  Just remember, this is fun!  Don’t get overly stressed out by all the details.
