You could fix your wedding date around Christmas – at this time all the churches are already decorated with wreaths and mistletoe,  and this will save you hundreds of dollars that you would have otherwise have had to spend on church decorations.

Keep your eyes open for any leftover decorative items (lights, balloons, etc.), after any major event in your area. The shop owners would probably be relieved to either give them to you, or sell them to you at a fraction of the cost you would pay new.
 
Making very simple modifications to your  floral arrangements can also save you a lot of dollars.  Opt for seasonal flowers instead of exotic ones, and try and get your creative friends or relatives to help instead of having to hire professions for the floral decorations.   

You can even cut costs with your invitations.  You can make your own, or look out for special deals.  Deliver as many as you can by hand which will save mailing costs.  Just use a bit of creative thinking and I am sure you will come up with many more ideas. 

If you want to use the services of a wedding planner, then try and plan your wedding out of the usual wedding season – this way you should be able to save on the cost of their services.

Wedding Scrapbook Layout

One of the most special and most memorable days of your life is your wedding day, and you will want to make sure that all the mementos from the day can be kept to look back on in the future.  A great way of keeping your memories alive is with wedding scrapbooks, and you will be able to remember your wedding day and preserve all the memories.To start on your wedding scrapbook you will need to get your thoughts organized and plan what you want from your scrapbook.  For instance what period of time are you aiming to cover?  Are you intending to go back to when you first met?  Or start from your engagement and cover the wedding and honeymoon?  Or you may prefer to just concentrate on the actual wedding ceremony and the wedding reception.

When you make your wedding scrapbook, you do not need to be limited to just photos, you can also add in other items that mean something to you.  As an example you could include flower petals, a piece of the material  from your dress and your bridesmaids dresses.  Or how about some place cards, some confetti, an invitation, really anything that is going to give you a memory of your wedding day in the future can be included in your wedding scrapbook.

Then add the final touches like beads and borders which will give more life to the pictures and other mementos you have added to your wedding scrapbook.  You can easily locate many decorative materials in craft stores, book stores and of course the speciality scrapbook stores that are around.

Don’t forget that scrapbooking is meant to be fun, so don’t let it get you stressed.  Take your time over it, and create it when the mood strikes.  If you do is this way you will have a great wedding scrapbook that you can look back on with great joy and happiness over your future together.
